Sun, sand and sea

Maybe Cancún is not the biggest city, most of the tourist come and host at hotels located at the hotel zone, where you can visit Nichupte lagoon, discotheques and all the fancy places. But, visitors sometimes forget to go to the other side of Cancún, for example, to Puerto Juarez, which is the “bridge” for going to Isla Mujeres.

There are different ways to cross the sea, for example, by ferry or little ships. The last ones is the unpopular way to get there, but what people don't know is that is cheaper than the others if you analyze it carefully.

For taking the boats you have to go to Punta Sam, there, you will find a harbor where you can get information from any ligtherman in the place. Once you have decided which tour you will take, the only thing you have to do is relax and enjoy the trip.

Most of the tours include scuba diving around the lighthouse, where you will be able to see the wonderful multicolored fishes. Tours also include lunch that the lightermen prepare in a small restaurant by the sea, the famous tikin-xik which is barracuda fish flavored with axiote and spices. You cannot leave Isla Mujeres without tasting it, give it a chance, you will not regret it!

By taking this tour you also will be able to stay for a while on the island, where you can rest on the beach or shop some souvenirs. The best of all is that you can have all of this by paying only two hundred and twenty two pesos.

After a long and fun day, you will be back in Cancún by the evening. We assure you it will be a great and unforgettable experience, people there is very kind and will make you feel like home.

La Salle Cancún Radio Visit La Salle Playa

In recent days the University radio "Radio La Salle Cancun" made a visit to La Salle Playa del Carmen to share some university environment and those interested in the career of communication may have a closer contact with something related to career to the ones that want to join and besides that students of La Salle Playa del Carmen made a flashmob, that  is action organized in which a big  group of people who assemble suddenly  in a public place, perform something  unusual and then dispersed rapidly, it was fun to see how students and teachers danced to the sound of the mix that students armed for the flashmob but especially watch the participation of almost all who were there as it was done at the recess time.

Likewise, we spoke with a student who was selected to go to the football team "Chelsea" because the team viewers came to Mexico to carried young talents to the English team and this kid who is still studying high school is already a player of the Chelsea, we hope hearing from him in the news
Here we let you an album of what happened in La Salle Playa del Carmen and hope you like and comment it.

Special Cancun- japanese
urban tribes
The otakus

In Cancun  there are several urban tribes but one of the most numerous and one that doesn’t respect age, social condition or religion is the otaku tribe.
The otakus are teenagers in the majority in a rage of 11 and 18 years (but also is very common to see otakus in the university and otakus that have teenager children) that adores the  anime and manga ( are cartoons and comics from japan) but they also worships japan and anything that this country could offers. The otaku dream about living in Japan and because that they learn to speak japanese, they also eat japanese food like sushi and ramen claming to  be on training for the day they could travel to japan.

In Cancun the otakus wait all the year for a convention a place where a variety of specialized stores from all the country get together and they spend all their money in trading cards, anime shirts, japanese candies, anime dvd’s that in the majority result to be copys and all kind of anime merchandise. Otakus also enjoy to costume their self this is called “cosplay”. Cosplayers contest is one of the most waited events of the convention day, other events are karaoke and the conferences with the voice actors.
When a otaku is not wearing a costume in a convention they are also very easy to detect in a crowd, we could say there is an otaku in every mall, and every class room in this city. They all look very similar; they like to use cat faux ears, cat bells, dog chains, black T-shirts with anime images, jeans in their majority black, also they wear glasses and sneakers, they carry a backpack with all kind of stuff like mangas, cards, dvd’s, and stuff to draw because in a great part they wish to became a mangaka.

Every one it´s free to be as  we want to and more because we are young  to express ourselfs, and  it´s very  important  to respect every way  of life and  behaviors ,  we have to think that  they are part  of our culture and they are the result of consumism and  the multiculturalism  and it´s a reality  here , and in many parts of the nation and also all over the world the  urban tribes are part of  us and make us reach in culture .

Christmas in Cancun

Christmas in Cancun

We know we are approaching a very important dates for people that Christmas is, as everyone knows are celebrating Christmas dinner with your family, opening gifts and living more closely with your family yet here in Cancun and as I found certain situations I realized that celebrating Christmas is different here than in Mexico City or other places of the republic from what I've seen and as for my experience Christmas here celebrate it with close friends or go to a hotel to spend this date so important and if given the chance came to visit your family or they come to spend the holidays here.

If you look at other difference to spend Christmas here in Cancún than elsewhere is the weather in Cancun heat nor forgives not be Christmas then we are in the rare situation that even though cold season is hot of course not the same as in summer but if it does and does not feel like Christmas.

This Christmas my family I hope you feel a little cold to feel more beautiful this time so full of harmony and happiness.

One more step and we are done.

One more step and we are done.

The last days of the semester are always the worst.
During the semester everything is very relaxed, all tasks, projects, student atmosphere, everything.

In the last two weeks you can breath the stress through the halls of the university, as although some tests or projects are simple and without any complicity, there are others who drive us crazy.

All the friends hate and scream each other, but at the end, they are  the same old friends.

It is a good experience but when you are living it don't see it that way that's why we recommend you not leave everything to the end because stress is not good for anyone, take your time in the semester, there are days where nothing is done. You will see how the end will not feel the pressure and the stress, or maybe you have, but more relaxed.

And when you apply this let us know how you go, because we, Communication students we will continue leaving all for the last minutes.
Without any stress, there is no end of semester.

There is only one week left, make the most of it. Enjoy your vacactions, of the holidays . Have a Merry  Christmas and Happy New Year.

Dance of the fire.

The Dance of the fire carries out by means of different technologies and forms a part of the historical culture of some zones of the world.
The dancers with fire are a group of young women who create his own dances, and wardrobes mixing them with the fire and the music. This activity started being realized by major frequency in Cancún eleven years ago.

The materials that they use to create his instruments of fire normally are of glass fiber. The device mas used to do fire is the Poi that they are a species of chains and of I begin they are the most common, later the hulahoop used by the girls equal is very common that they dance with the ranges of fire gives them a rather classic style. The fire stick and the so called fingers barites are more acquaintances and used.

With the passage of time they have improved the dance and have mixed it with the juggling, doing an incredible show, before alone they were devoting themselves to do them in the street and now events are contracted to realize and up to to be fixed in the show of certain important hotels in the hotel zone.

It is very a danger to fulfil this actividady for this razòn responsibility has to be had great to dance with the fire professionally.
