College life in Cancun.

When we think of the meaning of the university we automatically relate to the study, long hours in the library and lots of homework. While it is true that "the university is to be studied", the experience does not stop there; implies also expand cultural horizons, expand social networks, develop new skills and meet other areas of knowledge does not necessarily academic. Sounds super cool, right?

In La Salle Cancun, college students do not feel as university. The problem is that on the morning shift the campus is shared with school kids and they feel invaded.
What we see in our university is guys in their classrooms, shut up, tired, wanting to go home, as if studying were mandatory, when in fact it is not.
What we want is to see and feel the college enviroment that other states have, go through the halls and meet many students, football players, cute boys, etc..

La Salle Cancun has an evening shift too and even though the campus is not shared with the school guys still does not have that feeling that we want. Cancun is a place that hasn’t many foreign students, perhaps what is needed is to promote more universities students to come here from all parts of the republic and learn some costums. And example is when there is the performing intersalles. Campus becomes different and fun. I know it will takes time for the adoption of that kind of life lived in the universities of the big cities. :)
